Jessica Helgerson Interior Design works with Tempest Tileworks for a custom sword fern tile wrapped kitchen. The ferns were painted by Mira Eng-Goetz who was the designer on the project. If there is a vision, there is a way. Speaking to the abilities of customization, Tempest Tileworks developed a thinner tile in order to reduce weight for the use on the face of the fridge. The field tiles and fern decos were all hand brushed with a color wash prior to glazing to give the space depth and variation throughout the full tile surround. All the pieces came together for a truly unique and inspiring kitchen design.
